We relish
a challenge
Back in May we were invited by the wonderful people at Ballymaloe Foods to help them with a bespoke UK social media programme for their legendary relish.
As a firm favourite across the water in Ireland, they’ve been bringing taste to the table for over 75 years and are a well loved and established brand, with Ballymaloe Relish spearheading an extensive range of foodie products.
Here in the UK, the situation was a bit different…
So our first step was to create a UK-specific social media strategy.
We looked at the channels we should use, the purpose for each and the optimum times of day to post.
Then we turned our attention to the content.
We identified four key topics of conversation and 28 different types of content we could create & share within those categories.
Everything from recipes & inspiration to memes & cultural references.
We know that TikTok content needs to be different to Meta, so we shot a suite of 15 videos specifically for that channel.
The films are fast-paced and choppy, using TikTok trending audio for maximum impact.
And we enlisted the help of our friends at Tank Top to pull together a cost effective media strategy to target local, relevant shoppers who met a range of demographic criteria and lived within the optimum travel time of Tesco stores.
The campaign is still going on so it’s too early to share results but the early stats are encouraging:
